The flooded areas depends on the manometric height of the dam 30m (415-383) 35m (420-383) 40m (425-383) 45m (430-383) (made by Yves Malongo) (40m seems the best, the flooded area near Kisangani upstream of the dam can be limited by the construction of a dike)
The local enhancement of the iron deposit will finance the development of the whole Province
OPTION OF A SINGLE DAM AND A LARGE RESERVOIR LAKE
OPTION OF 3 DAMS
2000MW HYDROELECTRICAL DAM IN WANIE RUKULA hydroelectrical Between Kisangani and Ubundu, the river's elevation change is 37m, with a flow rate of 6180m³/sec; the available power, assuming a 90% energy efficiency, is 2000MW Power of the hydroelectric dam : 2000MW D Kisangani 6180 m3/sec downstream level 383 m upstream level 420 m H 37 m P = D*H*9.81/1000 MW 2242 MW energy efficiency ( ρ ) 90% P* ρ 2018 MW Depending on the river profile, three dams can be built at the three major elevation changes of the river or a single large dam is likely to take advantage of the 37m elevation change by creating a large reservoir between Kisangani and Ubundu.
An hydroelectric dam (or 3 dams) will be built to produce 2000MW This dam will connect the two banks of the rivers by a road and a railway. The river Congo & Lualaba between Kisangani and Kindu, will be navigable A steel plant will be built along the river to reduce iron ore: o by DRI/H2 with hydrogen produced by electrolysis; o by DRI/CH4 with gas from Lake Kivu. The steel produced will be transported by barge down the Congo River Rehabilitation of the Kisangani cement plant
